[livejournal.com profile] nee_chan and I got back to Whitewater around midnight Sunday night after driving 12 1/2 hours straight from DC to Wisconsin. We immediately went to bed! She decided to skip her first class, but went to her second. I showered and packed Alphonse back up. When she got back from class, we watched "Bang Bang You're Dead" (I've been trying to get her to watch that movie for some time now) and then I drove back home.

So, now I'm back at work. I had a FABULOUS time in the Pitts, DC, and NYC with my Nee and [livejournal.com profile] thatgaykid!! Definitely want to go back to New York and stay a lot longer. So many things I want to still see and do! Now, to focus on ACen.

I don't wanna be back to work!!! ;__;

Back in DC

We spent yesterday afternoon in Greenwich Village and Downtown Manhattan. We saw the Stonewall Memorial and the World Trade Center site. I got very emotional while visiting the Tribute Center. They actually have one of the WTC victim's death certificate on display. As well as some artifacts recovered from Ground Zero. It got me all choked up. After lunch, we head back to Washington D.C. [livejournal.com profile] thatgaykid took [livejournal.com profile] nee_chan and I to a latin gay club called "Fuego". He got totally wasted.

So now we are gonna head downtown DC to look at the Cherry Blossoms. The National Cherry Blossom Festival starts today, so we are gonna check it out. Then later tonight we're going to another club. Tomorrow Nee and I are heading home. Driving straight through. We should be back in Whitewater by 1 a.m. Monday morning. She's got class at 8:50 a.m. on Monday.

It's been a good trip. Seen a lot of great stuff. Definitely want to go back to New York. Didn't get to see the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. It just gives me another excuse to visit New York again! ^^

EDIT: Some one on IMDB posted a uniquely written account of Randy Harrison's performance, and the play itself, the night we saw Antony & Cleopatra. Shakespeare's Antony & Cleopatra — 3/27/2008 Performance )

So [livejournal.com profile] nee_chan, [livejournal.com profile] thatgaykid, Juancito (Andy's friend) and I arrived in New York this morning pretty earlier (only on 4 hours of sleep, go us!!!). We couldn't check into the hotel until a lot later, so we ditched Alphonse at the hotel parking lot and took the trains into midtown Manhattan. We visited Time Square, Rockefeller Center, a hugh Toys R Us, and the Hershey store. If you time all 3 of the trains we have to take between the hotel and Time Square, it's about an hour travel time.

We came back to the hotel to check in and to get some R&R before we were to meet Nee's brother and the 8th graders for dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp place in Time Square. A few days ago, I looked online and found out that Randy Harrison (aka Justin from Queer as Folk) was in an off-broadway play, Shakespeare's Antony & Cleopatra, around the corner from where we were having dinner. So I set about to find out how to get tickets. Well, to make a long story short, we called the theatre a little after the box office opened @ 4 and they told us that there was only one seat left available. I was really bummed about it. I really wanted to see Randy live in a play in New York. Nee said we would stop by the theatre first before dinner and see if they had any tickets still available (Andy & Juancito's $10 cheap tickets could only be bought at the box office for they had to verify that they was under 25). We left the hotel around 5 p.m. and made it to Time Square and the theatre a little after 6 p.m. And low and behold, THEY HAD TICKETS LEFT!!!! So we skipped dinner with Nee's brother (and my cousin) because we would never make our show eating dinner in Time Square, since the show started at 7:30 p.m. Well, Nee and I squeed inwardly the entire time Randy was on stage! But beside that, the play was fcuking FABULOUS!! The acting was superb and the lighting design on such a small stage was just amazing. It was totally worth the $75 Nee and I paid to see it. After the play, we went to Dave & Buster's (since I've never been) and played around for a while. Which made us miss our last train to the hotel, so we took a cab.

And that's were we are now, getting ready for bed. In the morning we plan to check out early so we can visit the World Trade Center site and cruse around downtown Manhattan. Then we are going to head back to D.C. and go clubbing Friday night. Good times! ^___^

*still inwardly squeeing about seeing Randy Harrison live in person in a New York off-broadway play. I'm gonna have good dreams tonight!!*

So, [livejournal.com profile] nee_chan & I got into DC late Saturday night and was treated to a delicious Sunday Easter brunch by [livejournal.com profile] thatgaykid today. We met a bunch of his friends during the brunch, and chilled around the apartment with a few of them later in the evening. In the morning Nee and I plan to visit Arlington National Cemetery and Pentagon City mall. After that, is still up in the air. But so far we are having a good time! ^_____^

[livejournal.com profile] nee_chan & I arrived in Pittsburgh around noon est/ 11 am cst and immediately went to sleep. We left Whitewater around 2:30 am and I drove straight through on about 3 hours of sleep. So we're at the Hyatt by the airport and haven't seen the city yet. We are deciding which club to visit tonight. But, which ever one we decide, we'll have a gay ol' time!
